Memphis is a foodie town and is well known for it’s BBQ. There are plenty of places to get fantastic ribs, pulled pork, brisket, chicken, you name it. Here are some of the best known institutions in Memphis.

If you have wheels then head to Central BBQ. They have three locations and everyone in Memphis will tell you this is the place to go.

Just off Beale Street on Second Avenue is another Memphis institution called The Rendezvous. The staff here is as saucy as…well, as the sauce, and if you’re not quick to order they will order for you.

I have to thank Elliott Copen for taking me to Gus’s Fried Chicken a few short blocks from Beale Street. The line out the door tells you that something good is going on here.
